Here at Floor To Ceiling Fitted Furniture, We’re keeping a close eye on how the coronavirus pandemic develops and we’re committed to prioritizing the well-being of our employees and customers. We will be re-opening the showroom on Monday 18th May complying with the Covid-19 secure guidelines as issued by HM Gov. We will be open from Monday to Saturday (inclusive) between the hours of 10am and 2pm, when possible we would ask you to ring beforehand to make a showroom appointment, if you are unable to do so we are open for walk-in appointments but we may ask you to wait outside/in your car if we have more than 2 customers in our showroom. We will be carrying out any external appointments outside of these times. The safety of everyone is our greatest priority so things may run a little different to normal.
To help us all stay safe, when visiting our showroom we will be asking you to do the following;
Manufacturing and fitting are to recommence on Monday 1st June. At the Directors meeting, we all felt that the 1st of June would be a good compromise between safety and commerce. Hopefully the spread of Covid 19 will have reduced further by this time, and hopefully, our existing customers will feel more confident about allowing us into their homes. In addition, hopefully, any new customer’s will have the confidence to start to order again!
In the meantime, there is a lot of work to do. We have to introduce new (mandatory) H&S measures and new working procedures throughout our business, and in particular, when meeting customer’s in their homes and in the showroom, or when fitting in their homes. There are new risk assessments to prepare, PPE to source (that’s proving difficult!) new signage to prepare, new cleaning regimes to implement and training to carry out. All time consuming, but well worth the effort to reduce the spread of the virus.
We will be preparing a new document detailing new procedures for us installing in your homes. This will take into account sanitising, social distancing, route planning and the like. All customers will all be emailed a copy of the new procedures document when it is ready.
The first thing we need to do, is reschedule all of our current customer installations, so to that end, we will be telephoning existing customers within the next few days, to get this done.
